Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge is southern plantation hunting at it's finest in the Sandhills of South Carolina, along the Great Pee Dee River. We are located Chesterfield, South Carolina, only one hour SE of Charlotte, NC and two hours West of Myrtle Beach.
Hunt the majestic pines and legendary black water swamps for Whitetail Deer, Wild Boar, and Turkey. The 3,500 acres of property have a habitat that consists of swamps, hardwoods, and pines. Trophy management for deer has produced quality trophy racks year after year. With a strong buck-doe ratio, we always harvest more bucks than does. We lay claim to one of the longest rifle deer seasons in the country… Sept 15 - Jan 1. The Pee Dee River region boasts one of the top wild boar populations in the state. Hogs are hunted year ‘round from permanent stands around the swamps. The explosion of the “hog bomb” has pushed the DNR to institute night hunting for hogs and has proven to be most successful at Cherokee Run.
The beautiful lodge is nestled in a grove of age-old pecan trees and provides hunters with all the rest and relaxation they need. If you get bored…the pool table, bass fishing, and skeet shooting always make for healthy competition and a great time. Fun and fellowship is what “deer camp” is all about. The lodge is a place you can call home for a few days.
